Soft & Chewy Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

Hey there!! I am so excited to share this yummy recipe! I worked and worked to find the BEST oatmeal chocolate chip recipe and I think I finally found it. Cookies are an interesting thing, because there are so many ways you can get a delicious cookie. I hope you all give this one a try and let me know your thought! Happy baking!!

Servings: 16- 18 cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 cup butter (softened)
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1 3/4 cup dark chocolate chips

What to do:

  1. Mix together the flour, sugars, cinnamon, baking powder and salt.
  2. Once combined add in your eggs, one at a time.
  3. When the eggs are combined, mix in your butter, vanilla and mix throughly.
  4. Add in one cup of oats at a time and mix until all 3 cups of oats have been used.
  5. Add in the chocolate chips
  6. Allow the mixture to sit for 20-30 minutes and up to 4 hours (the longer it sits the better it tastes.
  7. Use a 1 inch cookie scoop and placed chilled dough onto a parchment lined baking sheet.
  8. Bake at 350 degrees for 13-14 minutes.
  9. Enjoy!

Overall, this recipe is pretty straight forward and it truly comes out delicious EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
